Safe Flying
| I’m worried about flying in a small aircraft. Is it as safe as flying in a large jet? ? |
In order to operate services for the public, every airline, large or small, must hold an Air Operators Certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
An AOC is only granted when they are wholly satisfied that every aspect of the operation complies with a myriad of rules and operational procedures. The aircraft have to be maintained to very specific standards by an approved engineering organisation.
All our pilots have to possess the professional qualifications that are held by pilots flying for large airlines together with considerable experience of operating as pilot in command. They, along with the airline, are closely examined every six months to ensure total compliance with rules and procedures.
